Pumpkin pie aroma amber amoroso shortbreads


Pumpkin pie spice 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg 1/8 tsp ground allspice Mix together, store in container. Pumpkin spice brown sugar shortbread cookies 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (recipe above if you don't have commercially available type) 1/8 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups flour Coarse sugar or granulated sugar for topping. 1. preheat oven to 350 F and line cookie sheet with parchment paper 2. Beat butter, sugar and pie spice with mixer until fluffy. 3. Mix in flour 4. Chill dough in two portions for 15-20 minutes 5. Roll out between sheets of waxed paper until 1/4 inch thick 6. Cut out shapes, stick two shapes together (if desired) with brushed on egg white. 7. Mix about 1 tsp of pie spice with some granulated sugar (or coarse sugar) and sprinkle on cookies. 8. bake for 12-15 minutes until bottoms begin to brown. 9. cool on racks.
